submission to Neil Gaiman’s ’ A Calendar of Tales’, July

erm...another one from my favorite tale.. took me a really long time to come up with this because it's my favorite tale.. i'm very much familiar with the dangers and intoxication of escapism thru the written words, whether you are the writer or the reader. it can be really really awesome to be insanely immersed in a make-believe world, it's tiny breaks of sanity that's horrifying. anyways, tried to encompass the whole story here in one illustration. i'm not sure if i succeeded. my hands hurt. my fingers are throbbing!!!
