The monster is Tal'shen and the shirtless man is Paul (but in my mind, it's Henry Cavill ) Tal is surrounded by her incubating humans whilst Paul is busy 'psychically' disintegrating bodies into crimson plumes... the mists have settled in the sky above Paul, hence, the red stuff up there. The woman crawling towards Tal is in the process of being disintegrated by Paul's lethal, siren-like humming. lol . Fortunately for Paul, he stumbled upon a pair of pants on his way to meet Tal'shen

I must confess, took me ages to color this. It's strange, I thought really hard about what colors to use before applying them. I wanted it to work, not just aesthetically, but within the context of the story. I went about shading and texturing, not just on whim, but according to the story- the light vs, dark, the soft vs. the rough were all decided with the story in mind. Personally, I kinda like it better without any crimson but I put it in there out of of respect to the author.. I never really gave coloring this much thought before. This project has forced me to go out of my comfort zone and confront my fear of colors.. lol... i'm gonna miss this project when it's ovah! thanks, it's been fun!!
